Candle Ingredients and Candle Care

OUR CANDLE INGREDIENTS:

Each Lavender Apothecary candle is made in small batches in Southern Calif. from soy wax derived from 100% American grown soybeans. We use all cotton wicks that are lead and zinc free, creating a clean, environmentally friendly burn. The premium grade fragrances we use are phthalate free, non-toxic and infused with essential oils (some of our fragrance oils are not infused with essential oils). These fragrances will NEVER contain the following: Carcinogens, Mutagens, Reproductive Toxins, Organ Toxins or Acute Toxins. We are committed to creating a "clean burning" candle for your space. 

Each mason jar candle has the word "Mason jar" stamped on the top of all four sides of the jar and also has "graduation measurements" stamped on two sides of the jar. It is tied with rustic twine and a handwritten scent tag. All of our jars can also be reused. 

We also will take back any gently used lids and will issue a .25 cent credit for each lid that is returned.

CANDLE CARE:

Burn your candle for at least 3 to 4 hours (8 ounce & 16 ounce jars and other specialty vessels) and 2-1/2 hours (5 ounce jars). Allow the wax to melt throughout all the edges of the jar. Doing this will ensure a nice and even melt each time you burn your candle. ALWAYS keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" each time before you burn and be make sure that any of the wick trimmings are discarded from the jar. NEVER burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time for our larger jars and about 3 hours for our smaller jars.

 *Keep in mind that our larger vessels of 3 inches in diameter or more can take a few burns to achieve a melt pool that reaches completely to the edge. It's important to burn for 4 hours each time.*
